The Republic of Korea is hosting an official visit of the Turkmen delegation, which began on July 17. The delegation is headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for construction, industry and electric power Baymyrat Annamammedov.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, within the framework of the visit, the Turkmen delegation met with the Prime Minister of Korea Han Doksu.During the talks, the parties noted the high level of development of interstate relations between the two countries.
The parties exchanged views on promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.Issues related to the increase in bilateral trade were also discussed.
Turkmenistan is ready for further development of cooperation with the Republic of Korea in such important areas of the national economy as the fuel and energy complex, the chemical and textile industries, the transport and communications sector, as well as agriculture.
Also, within the framework of the visit, separate meetings were held between the heads of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan with representatives of leading Korean companies and business circles, the source notes.
