Tomatoes from Turkmenistan appeared on the shelves of “Hippo” supermarkets in Belarus

The first batch of tomatoes from Turkmenistan, delivered by road to Belarus, appeared on the shelves of the “Hippo” supermarket chain in Minsk.

According to Arzuw News, the decision to import tomatoes from Turkmenistan was received positively by Belarusian consumers, who are always looking for high-quality products.

At the moment, the “Hippo” retail chain consists of 27 modern stores throughout Belarus. Among them are hypermarkets with a wide range, supermarkets, cozy shops near the house.

Let us remind that in 2022, Turkmenistan exported 104 thousand tons of tomatoes abroad.

In Turkmenistan, 712 hectares of greenhouse areas have been allocated for growing greenhouse vegetables, including tomatoes. Innovative plant care techniques help grow tomatoes all year round. The greenhouses use modern technologies and seeds of tall and high-yielding varieties for indoor cultivation, including “cherry”, “rugantino”, “altes”, “merlis”, “juanita”, “tomimaru mucho”, etc.
