Trade Turnover Between Turkmenistan and Iran Increases by 32.34%

The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Iran in the last fiscal year of the current Iranian calendar (March 21, 2022, to March 20, 2023) increased by 32.34 percent compared to the same period last year, Financial Tribune reported on Saturday, citing data from the Customs Administration of Iran.

Turkmenistan and Iran exchanged 1.31 million tons of products worth $487.62 million during the reporting period.

Moreover, Iran's total trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states reached 6.89 million tons worth $3.81 billion, a 9.51 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Russia was Iran's primary trading partner among the Caspian littoral states, with the total volume of trade between the countries amounting to $2.32 billion (4.04 million tons), a 17.79 percent decrease compared to the same period the year before.

Iran's exports to Caspian littoral states in the reporting period exceeded $2.05 billion, a 2.43 percent increase.
