Turkish Companies Implement 19 Projects in Turkmenistan

Currently, Turkish companies are carrying out 19 projects in Turkmenistan worth $4.4 billion, stated Türkiye's Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok.

Demirok highlighted that since Turkmenistan gained independence, Turkish firms have completed over a thousand projects, reflecting the high level of trust Ashgabat places in them, as reported in Neutral Turkmenistan on Tuesday.

According to Demirok, Turkish companies have undertaken significant infrastructure projects, including power plants, transmission lines, highways, residential complexes, shopping centers, universities, schools, public buildings, hotels, factories, museums, parks, and hospitals.

He also expressed hope for Turkish companies to participate in future stages of the "smart" city of Arkadag and the Ashgabat City project.

He further noted that trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Türkiye reached $1.532 billion from January to August 2024, a 16 percent increase over the same period last year.
