The president of Turkmenistan has signed the resolution to confirm volume of the areas of the special land fund of agricultural purpose from which plots for joint-stock companies, peasant associations, other legal bodies and citizens of the country will be allocated.
According to the document the land areas will be transferred for use for a period of 99 years and for the cultivation condition on a minimum of 70 % of their area wheat, cotton and other agricultural crops entering into the state order. On the remained areas agricultural crops not entering into the state order will be grown.
Manufacturers, who will receive the land plots, should enter them into a crop rotation, having hold within three years improvement of their ameliorative condition.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan was assigned to issue together with regional administrations certificates on granting to manufacturers for long-term use plots from the special land fund, and also to carry out control over their rational and target use.
Surplus production made over and above the plan of the state order, owners of plots can leave at their disposal hand over to the state at the price of state purchases.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection is also to assist the manufacturers who have received plots in the methodical plan on the scientific basis to provide a crop rotation and increase of fertility of the lands.
And the regional authorities should establish for them plans on manufacture of crops of wheat, cotton and other agricultural crops according to the state order and to supervise their performance.
These decisions are aimed at advancement of market reforms in the agrarian and industrial complex, increase of efficiency of rational use of land and water resources and also more active involving of the private sector in agricultural production.
