Turkmen Company Launches Production of Salt Tiles in Koytendag

Sabyr, Timur Taşewler Individual Enterprise in the Koytedag etrap of Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat has launched the production of salt tiles.

According to the Türkmen gündogary newspaper’s Tuesday issue, the company only uses local raw materials in the production of the 20x20 cm tiles. The tile with a thickness of 2.5 cm weighs an average of 2.20 kg. The enterprise produces about 1000 units of the products daily.

In the workshops, tiles are packaged in packages of 10 pieces each, which are then sent to consumers in the local market. The company also exports some of the products.

According to the regional newspaper, salt tiles are widely used for medicinal purposes, including in the Bagabat sanatorium, which opened in November. The sanatorium created an artificial microclimate of the Koytendag salt caves in the halotherapy room using the salt tiles.

In addition, the company has been producing lime dust for 8 years. The enterprise manufactures around 15 tons of lime daily.

The company has also established a wide production of wall and ceiling drywall sheets, which are supplied to the domestic and foreign markets.

The workshops equipped with advanced Chinese machinery are designed to produce up to 15 packs of drywall per shift. Each package consists of 55 sheets of three square meters each. The sheet’s thickness is 9.5 mm.

Sabyr, Timur Taşewler employs more than 100 specialists. The company presently exports its products mainly to the CIS countries, but plans to significantly expand the geography of exports.
