Turkmen Delegation Holds Meeting With Japanese Business Community Representatives

A Turkmen delegation, led by Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, convened with representatives of the Japanese business community on Monday during a working visit to Tokyo.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, special attention was given to the implementation of prospective projects.These projects include attracting Japanese companies for the export of high-value-added products, diversifying project financing, studying practices in the fields of green and hydrogen energy, establishing modern high-tech industries, and involving small and medium-sized enterprises from both countries in joint project implementation.

The Turkmen side underscored the progressive development of relations between the countries. This progress is confirmed by the long-term successful implementation of projects in energy, extraction of mineral resources, chemical industry, and transport.

During the negotiations, Japanese companies expressed significant interest in collaboration in the infrastructure and energy transition sectors.

On the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with the Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, Yoshimasa Hayashi.
