Turkmen Entrepreneur Aims to Harvest 15 Tons of Strawberries

The private producer of fruits and vegetables Ruslan Abdullayev plans to receive a rich strawberry harvest of 15 tons from his 0.3-hectare greenhouse next year.

According to Rysgal newspaper’s Monday issue, the Turkmen businessman harvested 10 tons of the berries from the greenhouse last year. The entrepreneur’s current daily harvest volume stands at 100 kg.

The greenhouse located in the Charjev etrap of Lebap velayat grows strawberries of the Festival and Sabrina varieties, which are distinguished by high productivity and juicy taste.

The businessman also grows tomatoes on a 1.5-hectare greenhouse. The greenhouse complex is equipped with modern technologies, which allowed to automate ventilation, irrigation and soil enrichment with fertilizers.

Pollination of crops is carried out with the help of bees. The greenhouse presently employs 25 people. The berry is packed in packages with aesthetic design and delivered to the stores under the Ýaşyl Öý trademark.

The entrepreneur Abdullayev plans the construction of an 8-hectare greenhouse to grow tomatoes and bell peppers.
