Turkmen-Korean Inter-MFA consultations on consular issues held in Seoul

The Turkmen side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov, while the Korean side was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for Public Diplomacy Lim Sang-Woo.

In accordance with the agenda of the consultations, current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere were discussed.The sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation between the consular services of the two countries.

In this regard, they noted the importance of regularly holding bilateral consultations on consular issues between the foreign ministries in order to further intensify cooperation and study best practices.

Special attention was paid to intensifying work on improving and updating the legal and contractual framework.The sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen partnership across the full range of consular issues.
