A two-week internship for students from Turkmenistan was successfully completed in Astrakhan. Fourth-year students of the medical faculty of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan gained valuable experience in various fields of medicine at the clinic of the Astrakhan State Medical University.
The internship was in a private healthcare institution “Medical and Sanitary Unit”, where Turkmen students became familiar with the work of several departments, including therapy, cardiology and medical rehabilitation. Particular attention was paid to the work of the emergency department and the ophthalmology center.
The practice program also included a visit to the accreditation and simulation center of the Astrakhan State Medical University and the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region.
