Turkmen President Offers Condolences Over Deadly Stampede in South Korea

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimukhamedov expressed his deep condolences to President of South Korea Yoon Suk-yeol over the tragic stampede in Seoul, which caused numerous casualties and injuries, the official Turkmen media reported on Sunday.

President Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and Government of the country, as well as himself, conveyed words of deep empathy and support at this difficult moment to families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

According to media reports, more than 150 people were killed and more than 130 injured during a crush that occurred during festivities in downtown Seoul.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, also sent condolences to the South Korean President over the deadly accident in Seoul.
