Weightlifters of Turkmenistan continue to prepare for the upcoming qualifying competitions, where places will be awarded for the main sports games of the four-year period the Summer Olympics-2021 in the capital of Japan,.
Training sessions are conducted taking into account the best sports practice by experienced instructors Honored Coaches of Turkmenistan Artur Emiryan, Ikram Matkarimov, International Master of Sports, four-time Olympic participant Umurbek Bazarbayev and other highly qualified specialists.
Among the strongest weightlifters is Rejepbay Rejepov, a member of the national men’s team of Turkmenistan, International Master of Sports, representative of a sports dynasty, native of the Dashoguz Region,.
In December last year, the weightlifter successfully performed at the Open Weightlifting Championship of Turkmenistan, held in Ashgabat within the Olympic Park.
At that tournament Rejepbay Rejepov , having seriously competed with his contestants in the 81 kg weight category, showed a high sports result 145 kg (snatch) and 175 kg (clean and jerk), gaining 320 kg in total, and confidently won.
Rejepbay is the holder of many prestigious awards. He has a bright victory at the Asian Cup (Uzbekistan, 2011), a silver medal at the Asian Weightlifting Championship among juniors held in Thailand in 2011. The athlete is also the winner of the 2017 Asian Games and the silver medalist of the World Championship in Anaheim (USA).
The main goal of the strongest Turkmen weightlifters is to compete successfully at the upcoming qualifying tournaments and win places for to the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. The best weightlifters, members of the national team set themselves lofty goals to show excellent results and achieve new sports successes.
