On the threshold of new academic year, the Central Council of Magtumguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan has organized the contest on the knowledge of English language. Representative of all regions and the capital took part in linguistic festival. There were school students, graduates on universities and schools and young specialists among them.
English teachers provided assistance in conducting the contest on sites. 30 people have made it to the final round of nation- wide contest that was held in Turkmen capital.
The final of the contest has been held in interactive format. The contesters had topical dialogs in English and practised their knowledge in synchronic translation.
The award ceremony of the winners has been held in the Centre of Non-Governmental Organizations. There were 7 finalists who became the best by the results on contest nominations. Shamuhammed Hajiyev from Balkan Velayat, the second-grade student of Romanian oil and gas university was a Grand Prix winner.
The first place was taken by the student of Ashgabat secondary comprehensive school No. 20 Kervenmurad Muradov.The second place was shared between capital school student Guljahan Annagurbanova and high school student of secondary school No. 10 of Vekilbazar etrap, Mary Velayat Gulshar Hojamgulliyeva.
Dovran Shammiyev, Selbi Seyitgulliyeva and Yulia Glukhova were the bronze winners.All winners received valuable gifts and certificates.
Announcing the results of the contest, one of its organizers the Head of Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan Batry Taymazov noted that intellectual contests held under the aegis of the Youth Organization would be traditional.
As practice shows, such contests and creative reviews motivate personal growth, intent for gaining new knowledge and promotes harmonic development of growing generation and deep study of foreign languages opens the world of new skills and opportunities.
