Turkmenistan and Armenia discussed the organization of mutual visits of business delegations

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Ruben Kharazyan.

According to the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, diplomats spoke in favor of intensifying cooperation between commercial structures of the two countries and organizing mutual visits of business delegations.

The parties also exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation, including holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation this year.

In terms of development of trade and economic relations, the fuel and energy complex and the energy industry were named.

Cultural and humanitarian interaction was highlighted as an important area, in particular, the participation of the Armenian side in international events in Turkmenistan dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. Emphasis was also placed on the development of fruitful contacts in the fields of education, science and culture.
