The Intergovernmental Commission of Turkmenistan and Iran held negotiations on customs issues

The 16th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Consular, Border and Customs Issues was held in Tehran, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The Turkmen delegation at the meeting was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmed Gurbanov, and the Iranian delegation by Deputy Foreign Minister Alireza Bikdeli.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of implementation of agreements reached during the previous meeting of the commission in February 2023 in Ashgabat. Representatives of Turkmenistan and Iran noted the importance of strict compliance with all agreements to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Following the results of constructive negotiations, the deputy foreign ministers of the two countries signed a final protocol. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, notes the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
