Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiev had a telephone conversation with the Special Representative of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for Afghanistan and Pakistan Markus Potzel.
After exchanging warm greetings, the diplomats highly appreciated the level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international and regional structures.
Special attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the field of ensuring regional security and stability, in particular, the possibilities of expanding interaction in the process of establishing peace in Afghanistan were considered.
In this regard, Ambassador Potzel noted the important role of Turkmenistan in cooperation with regional and international structures to promote peace, stability and socio-economic growth in Afghanistan.
The diplomats agreed to continue an active dialogue on the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
