Turkmenistan and Slovakia Intensify Economic Cooperation

Turkmenistan and the Slovak Republic are preparing to hold the first meeting of their Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation.The organizational aspects of the event were discussed during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired via the digital system.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov delivered a report on the preparations for the inaugural session of the Turkmen-Slovak Joint Commission.The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the relevant authorities are currently taking all necessary measures to establish the bilateral commission and organize its first meeting.

The upcoming talks are expected to focus in detail on prospects for cooperation in key sectors.The agenda will include issues related to trade and economic cooperation, the fuel and energy sector, construction, transport and communications, as well as information technology.

In addition, participants will consider opportunities for collaboration in agriculture, environmental protection, healthcare and medical science, education, culture, sports, and tourism.After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan consistently develops productive and mutually beneficial cooperation with European countries, including the Slovak Republic.

The head of state signed the relevant document aimed at further expanding relations between the two countries and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high level of organization for all necessary preparatory work.
