Turkmenistan Boosts Trade With China by 53.6% in Jan-Oct

The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China exceeded $8.97 billion in January to October this year, a 53.6 percent year-on-year jump, according to the data issued by General Administration of Customs of China on Friday.

In October alone, the mutual trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $982 million.

Turkmen exports accounted for most of the trade turnover. In ten-month period, Turkmenistan exported more than $8.28 billion worth of products to China. During the same period, Turkmenistan imported more than $691 million worth of Chinese goods.

The major component of Turkmenistan's exports to China is natural gas delivered through pipelines.
