The State Concern “Turkmengas” is actively working to increase natural gas production, especially at the giant “Galkynysh” gas field. Deputy Prime Minister B. Amanov reported about this at the next meeting of the Government, writes the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, held via videoconference, a number of priority issues of state life were discussed, including measures to increase hydrocarbon production, one of the main items of Turkmen export.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, “Turkmengas” is effectively searching for deposits of sulfur-free gas at the promising fields being developed, especially at “Galkynysh”, one of the largest gas fields in the world.
With the help of special equipment, production and appraisal wells were drilled in oil and gas fields, from which industrial inflows of sulfur-free fuel were obtained.
In the coming years, the concern plans to continue drilling new wells to increase natural gas production and its safe transportation to consumers. In addition, appropriate work is being carried out to provide the necessary equipment for the onshore construction of newly drilled gas wells.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of the work carried out by the State Concern “Turkmengas” to increase the production of “blue fuel”. Focusing on the need to further increase hydrocarbon production volumes, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the vice-premier.
