Open Joint Stock Company "Demiryollary" is carrying out a major overhaul of the existing railway network to ensure the safety of passenger and freight trains. Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, Mammethan Chakyev, reported this at a government meeting, TDH reports.
Work to modernize railways is carried out in accordance with modern requirements in order to improve the safety of railway transportation in the country.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan pays great attention to the systematic updating of the material and technical base of railway transport.
The head of state noted the importance of high-quality overhauls on the national railways, giving specific instructions in this regard to the head of the Agency of Transport and Communications.
