Large-scale preparations are underway in Turkmenistan for the celebrations on the occasion of the National Spring Holiday - International Nowruz Day. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mahrijemal Mammedova reported about this at a government meeting, TDH reports.
The main holiday celebrations in Ahal velayat and the city of Ashgabat will take place on March 21 in the town of Novruz Yailasy in the Ak Bugday etrap.
In accordance with a special plan, an exhibition of books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as cultural events based on the book “Novruznama” will be held here.
On the territory of Novruz Yailasy the atmosphere of a traditional Turkmen village with its national traditions and customs will be recreated. An exhibition of decorative and applied arts, a concert, national games and a performance by the Galkynysh equestrian games group will also be organized.
Ceremonial events will also take place in the squares in front of the Turkmenin Ak Oyi buildings in the administrative centers of the velayats, as well as in the city of Arkadag.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to hold high-level celebrations on March 21 on the occasion of International Nowruz Day in the velayats, Ashgabat and the “smart” city of Arkadag. All events are designed to fully reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.
