Turkmenistan Makes Additions to Its Law on Urban Planning

Amendments and additions have been made to the Law of Turkmenistan on Urban Planning, according to the Thursday edition of the Turkmenistan newspaper.

According to the amendments and additions, a paragraph "simplified project - a project consisting of the general plan of the area allocated for the building, the plan of the foundation and floors of the residential building, and external views” was added to Article 1 of the law (paragraph 22).

A sub-paragraph "f" saying "registration of permits for the construction of objects" was added to the paragraph 2 of Article 9 of the law.

Moreover, the second part of Article 44 was amended as “2. Permission for the construction of objects other than the construction of a private residence shall be issued by the local authority of the executive power after registration by the competent authority."

Amendments and additions to the relevant Law were signed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on March 16.

The law entered into force on the same day it was published in the official press.
