On 29 June, 2019 President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov turned 62. On this occasion large-scale festivities and celebrations were held across the country.
Television newsreaders wearing white festive suits started the newscasts with “birthday greetings addressed to “the hero Arkadag” on this “happy for the entire Turkmen nation day”.
In the Mary mosque Gurbanguly-khadji mufti, the clergy, Cabinet members, executives of the law enforcement agencies and worshippers prayers for the head of the state.
According to the state information agency about:blank, the articles devoted to accomplishments of “forward-looking and level-headed policy pursued by Berdymukhammedov was published.
According to the media outlet, “Turkmenistan’s achievements, which suggest the forward-looking and level-headed policy pursued by the President, include high GDP, political stability and social well-being, credibility on the international arena, determining development of trade and economic and diplomatic relations as well as the peace-keeping capacity i.e.
the ability to positively impact the working-out of joint solutions as response to contemporary challenges.These are the key features of our country’s portrait and the image of its leader”.
A female poet Gozel Shagulyeva, who is famous for numerous panegyrics devoted to the President composed a new poem “Guardian-Angel is with you, we honour and respect you, Arkadag!”, which was published in the newspaper “Neitralny Turkmenistan”.
Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry hosted the presentation of the book authored by Berdymukhammedov “Turkmenistan the heart of the Great Silk Road”, translated into Turkish and Ukrainian.
The birthday boy did not appear during the festivities or on the television screen on that day.
