Turkmenistan Offers Japanese Companies Favorable Conditions for Long-Term Investment

Turkmenistan is ready to offer Japanese businesses favorable conditions for long-term investment and mutually beneficial partnerships, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said Friday in Tokyo during a business meeting with leaders of major Japanese companies, according to official Turkmen media.

The president highlighted priority sectors, including energy—with a focus on renewables—transport and logistics, high-tech and environmentally oriented production, water management, infrastructure modernization, and the training and professional development of specialists.

Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan is prepared to actively promote Japanese technologies and products in its market, particularly in engineering, electronics, and the chemical industry.

He also reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s strong commitment to developing and expanding partnership relations with Japan and expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support for long-term Japanese business presence.

The meeting concluded with a ceremony to sign several bilateral documents aimed at boosting economic and technological cooperation between the two countries.
