Turkmenistan participates in a meeting on the development of the Trans-Caspian trade route

The delegation of Turkmenistan is taking part in the meeting “Plan of Joint Actions on the Trans-Caspian Trade Route”, which is taking place in Uzbekistan, reports the website of the “Turkmenawtoulaglary” Agency.

The event was attended by representatives of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Association of International Road Carriers, the branch of the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan, as well as private transport companies.

The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of transport to increase cargo flow along the Trans-Caspian trade route. Particular attention was paid to the issues of optimizing logistics, customs procedures and increasing the capacity of border crossings.

The meeting is intended to further strengthen trade and economic ties in the region and increase the volume of cargo transportation between Central Asia and Europe.
