Turkmenistan, Russia’s Lipetsk Oblast Discuss Export-Import Operations

An online meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Lipetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia took place on Friday. The agenda of the meeting included exchange of views on the organization of export-import operations, and on the conditions for their seamless conduct.

The Turkmen side included representatives of enterprises and organizations, including the UIET, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) reported on Saturday.

During the online meeting, the Head of the Agricultural Department of the UIET Shamyrat Herremov informed about the opportunities and export potential of Turkmen agricultural producers. The Turkmen side also made proposals for cooperation in the field of textile, chemicals and metallurgical industries, and in agricultural production.

In turn, representatives of Lipetsk oblast’s administration and the Department of Agriculture, Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, Aviks Group, Krasny Poselok company and Let’s Trade company made presentations of their activities.

Established in 2008, the UIET is a public organization, which aims to support small and medium-sized businesses in Turkmenistan, to promote the development of the private sector of the national economy and the formation of a modern enterprise infrastructure.
