Turkmenistan's Foreign Trade Turnover Increases 13.2% in January-April

Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover increased by 13.2 percent in January-April 2023 compared to the same period last year, according to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Economic and Financial Affairs Hojamyrat Geldimyradov's report to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on Thursday.

In his report on macroeconomic indicators for January-April 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister said GDP grew by 6.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

The report also noted that the execution of the revenue part of the state budget amounted to 115.4 percent, the expenditure part - 97.5 percent, and the volume of utilized investments from all sources of funding grew by 13.1 percent.

At the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister to analyze the indicators of the production sector and take effective measures to implement the plans set by industries.
