Turkmenistan's Foreign Trade Turnover Increases by 7.2 Percent

Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover indicator saw a 7.2 percent in January-May of this year, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Economic and Financial Affairs Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported to the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Saturday.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted in his report on macroeconomic indicators that GDP growth was stable in January-May 2023, the official Turkmen media reported on Saturday.

According to the report, the volume of retail turnover compared to the same period last year is up 9.3 percent compared to the same period last year, and the fulfillment of the state budget's revenue and expenditure parts in the five months amounted to 113.3 and 97.6 percents respectively.

President Berdimuhamedov highlighted the key tasks facing the Complex and gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister. The meeting concluded with a review of the performance of the national economy sectors.
