Turkmenistan’s Guwlyduz Plant Produces 32.2 Thousand Tons of Table Salt

Guwlyduz plant of the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, located in Turkmenistan’s western province of Balkan, produced more than 32.2 thousand tons of table salt in the first four months of this year.

Guwlyduz plant fulfilled the production plan of table salt for the period by 102%, the country’s official media reports.

The enterprise produces table salt and technical salt. The technical salt produced at the plant is widely used in the fuel and energy sector of the country for refining petroleum products.

The products of the plant are also used in the textile industry when dyeing yarn in different colors. In addition, technical salt is widely used during the heating season and in other spheres of economy.

The Guwlyduz plant ranks first in the production of salt in Central Asia and fourth in the world.
