The Korpeje Gas Production Department of Nebitgazçykaryş (Oil and Gas Extraction) Trust of the Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern produced more than 2.53 billion cubic meters of natural gas from the operating wells during the first 11 months of 2021.
The Departmet fulfilled natural gas production plan for the period by 165%, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Friday.
The two-thirds of the total volume of natural gas produced by Türkmennebit over the period falls on the share of Korpeje department. The department carries out production, preparation and delivery of natural gas to consumers from the operating wells of the Korpeje, Chekichli and Altyguyi fields.
Presently, more than forty wells are in operation at Korpeje field, twenty-six at Chekishler field, and five wells at the Altyguy field. Since the beginning of the year, 11 wells have undergone major repairs, which in turn reportedly contributed to an increase in the production of natural gas.
