President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the medal "For Outstanding Service to the Turkic World" of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World and the highest award of the international organization of Turkic culture - the order "TURKSOY".
The Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World also awarded the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a medal "For Outstanding Service to the Turkic World", the official Turkmen media reported on Wednesday.
Ilyas Demirji, Secretary General of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World, who arrived in Turkmenistan to attend the opening ceremony of the Arkadag city, presented the medal for outstanding services to the Turkic world to the Turkmen leader.
Welcoming the leader of the prestigious organization, the President of Turkmenistan thanked Ilyas Demirji and members of the Union for the high honor, stressing that he views the award as a high evaluation of Turkmenistan's achievements in architecture, engineering and urban development.
The ceremony of awarding the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the highest award of the International Organization of Turkic Culture "TURKSOY" and the medal "For outstanding services to the Turkic world" of the Association of Engineers and Architects of the World was held at the Consultative Palace of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, the head of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World, as well as the Council of Elders under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the high awards and emphasized the country's commitment to continuous development of cooperation with international organizations.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Minister of Industry and Technology of Türkiye Mehmet Fatih Kaciri and Chairman of Turkish Chambers and Exchanges Association Rifat Hisarzhiklioglu.
