Turkmenistan’s Miweli Ülke to Start Growing Bananas, Citrus Fruits

The entrepreneur Maksatmyrat Gurbanmuhammedov’s Miweli Ülke Individual Enterprise in city of Mary in Turkmenistan’s Mary velayat has started the construction of a greenhouse on 50 hectares of land for growing bananas and citrus fruits.

The greenhouse will be equipped with modern air conditioning and irrigation systems, the Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday. The production processes at the plant, from growing bananas to packaging, will be fully automated. Orange trees will occupy 3 hectares of the greenhouse.

The company also builds refrigerated warehouses with a capacity of 10,212 tons to ensure long-term storage of crops without the risk of quality deterioration.

In February 2021, the Turkmen company presented its projects at the Central Asia - Virtual EXPO (CAVEX) organized by the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and New Independent States, and in the exhibition dedicated to 13th Anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Since its establishment in 2016, Miweli Ülke IE has been effectively cooperating with local farmers and other agricultural producers.
