Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia Sign Agreement on 2026 Hajj

The Muftiate of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah signed an agreement outlining the procedures for organizing the 2026 Hajj for Turkmen pilgrims, the Turkmen Embassy in Saudi Arabia reported.

The document was signed during a meeting between Turkmenistan’s Mufti, Yalkap Hojagulyev, and Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Abdulfattah Bin Sulaiman Mashat.

The Fifth International Conference and Exhibition on the Development of Hajj and Umrah Services is being held in Jeddah, with representatives from more than 85 countries participating, from November 9 to 12. Turkmenistan is represented at the forum by a delegation led by Mufti Yalkap Hodzhagulyev.

Last year, 289 Turkmen pilgrims traveled to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to perform the Hajj.
