Turkmenistan to Present Its Priority Positions at the 81st Session of the UN, Including the Preparation of a Strategy for Universal Peace

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, during which current issues of state life were discussed.As part of the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.

Meredov reported on the country's priority positions for the upcoming 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.The document has been prepared on the basis of the initiatives of the head of state and includes a number of key international priorities.

In particular, Turkmenistan plans to hold interstate consultations under the auspices of the United Nations on the preparation of a Strategy for Universal Peace, based on the principles of security and preventive diplomacy.

In addition, with the aim of promoting a comprehensive approach to strengthening international stability and trust, Ashgabat will propose proclaiming the years 20272037 as the United Nations Decade of Dialogue and Preventive Diplomacy.
