Volume of Investments in Turkmenistan to Near 40 Billion Manats

The investment program of Turkmenistan for 2022 was adopted during the extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) chamber of the country's bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh (National Council), hosted by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday. In accordance with the document, the volume of capital investments from all sources of financing will be around 40 billion manats.

The meeting was attended by members of Halk Maslahaty, government members, deputies, heads of ministries and departments, political parties and public organizations, governors and mayors.

The new program envisages construction and reconstruction of plants and factories, hospitals, education institutions, cultural centers, an administrative center, new settlements and residential buildings.

According to Purchekov, in 2021, 73 largest facilities were put into operation throughout the country. Among them are the Ahal-Balkan high-voltage transmission line, an important link in the country's ring energy system project, and a 432MW gas turbine power plant in Charjev etrap of Lebap velayat

Focusing on the agricultural sector, the Turkmen Leader stressed the need to establish the production of mineral fertilizers that are currently imported from abroad.

The program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022 and the national program for the socio-economic development of the state for 2022-2052 were also adopted during the meeting.
