SCRMET Reports 26.2 Million Manats in Weekly Trade Volume

Transactions on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) totaled 26,251,400 manats last week.

Local businesses purchased polypropylene and petroleum products for the domestic market, state media reported Monday.

For foreign currency, entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan purchased petroleum products produced by the state concern Turkmennebit, as well as polypropylene and liquefied gas produced by Turkmengaz.

Textile products manufactured by Turkmen private enterprises were also sold during exchange trading. The total value of these transactions exceeded $13.889 million.

A total of 29 transactions were registered on the exchange during the week.
