SCRMET Trades Reach 118.3 Million Manats in Second Week of May

Transactions on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) for the domestic market totaled 118 million 350 thousand manats in the second week of May, according to official media reports on Monday.

Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased base oil, coarse fabric, refined cottonseed oil, and wheat flour for the domestic market.

For foreign currency, business representatives from Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced by enterprises of the state concerns Turkmengas and Turkmenhimiya, as well as desulfurized diesel fraction produced by Turkmenhimiya.

Representatives of business circles from Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan purchased sets of bed linen, fatty acids from cotton oil residues, dry licorice root extract, raw silk and cotton yarn. The total value of transactions exceeded 13 million 66 thousand U.S. dollars.

Nineteen deals were registered on the trading floor of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
