Recently, Islamic Solidarity Games that brightly presented the tolerance and hospitality of Azerbaijan people have been held in Baku.In this relation, I think that this was a wise initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to introduce Turkmenistan, its talented, hard-working, open and hospital nations, unique historical and spiritual heritage, traditions, customs, culture, arts, strong economic potential and bright achievements through the prism of sport festival to the world.
Modern innovative and technological look of Turkmenistan, atmosphere of general excitement and fraternity are the embodiment of the principles of the Olympic movement.Ashgabat united the sportsmen representing Asian and Oceania countries as well as refugees’ team regardless of their confessional, ethnic, racial belonging.
The Games highlights general democratic essence of sport movement, the triumph of international cooperation, mutual understanding and friendship.The opening ceremony of the Games has left indelible impression with me.
It became the reflection of cultural and moral values of Turkmen people, its richest history, caring of traditions and strive for the progress.I am confident that the largest in the region multifunctional sport complex, Ashgabat Olympic village, which uniqueness is confirmed by enlisting of its two facilities to the Guinness World Records Book, will be the embodiment of the triumph of Turkmen sports and its peace-making mission.
Successful performance of Turkmen sportsmen at international arena is based on genius activity of the President of Turkmenistan for creation of super modern sport infrastructure, comprehensive work for development of junior sports.

According to the Greek Mythology, the stadium of Olympia, where the Games used to be held, was built by Hercules in honour of the Zeus victory over his father Chronos.
I am more than confident that the Olympic Complex, built by the initiative and under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, symbolize both the flourishing of all spheres of the state development of Turkmenistan including humanitarian as well as future victories of Turkmen sportsmen, who have strong potential for achievements of the heights of the world sports.
