People used to call this period kyrkchille’ winter forty days, the coldest period of the season.The snow, which has fallen during this period, promises to fill the land with moisture so much that the seeds, which will be planted in spring time, will turn into generous harvest.
The farmers notes that prolonged precipitations become a cure for the soil, which means that high yields of wheat and other agricultural crops are expected.
Such a heavy snowfall is quite rare in Turkmenistan. The fact that it has fallen on the threshold of New Year is thought to be a good sign among people, which augurs well for success and prosperity. This is a true celebration present for the children who harry to play snowballs and make snowmen.

The Leader of the Nation has told to his grandson that microclimate has been significantly improved in the result of successful realization of large-scale ecological program in all regions of the country, especially in the foothills.
As per tradition, Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gives start to nation-wide tree planting campaign every year. Big work in environment protection sphere, protection of biological diversity and natural landscapes is carried out under National Strategy for climate change approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as well as under major social and economic programs.
In particular, supporting the efforts of the world community for reduction of greenhouse gas emission, our country gradually transfers to use of modern eco-friendly and resources saving technologies in industrial sector.

Taking such a rare opportunity when there is plenty of snow to make a snowman, the Head of the State and his grandson rolled up balls and having connected it together, built traditional winter sculpture.
Kerim, the grandson of the Leader of the Nation, has started taking pictures of snowman for a memory of a beautiful day spent outside among snow spaces. The President of the country, who used to carry out everything all the way to the very end, have added final touches to positive image of snowman.
The tour around snow fields and hills of the Kopetdag foothills has come to the end and grandfather and grandson left these beautiful place.
New Year gifts have been presented to all personnel of cable road on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. It was a deserved appreciation of people’s work who make wonderful moments of happiness for the citizens, especially for children.
