A second-grader from Russia became the world champion in taekwondo

Seven years old Gleb Makarov from the Lipetsk region won a gold medal in the grand final of the World Taekwondo Championship in Seoul.Over 350 athletes of different ages from 30 countries participated in the online superfinal.

The young athlete demonstrated excellent mastery of the basic poomsae technique, where punches and blocks are performed without an opponent.At the same time, the judges evaluated the clarity and accuracy of movement, the sense of rhythm, the ability to accelerate at the right moments, and even the correctness of breathing.

According to Gleb’s coach, "he was born to be a taekwondoist." And for numerous victories at competitions of various levels, local media have already nicknamed Gleb Makarov as a golden boy, reports mir24.tv.
