A Turkmen national dies in an Istanbul clinic

A Turkmen national Annagul Kasymova died of stroke in Istanbul on 27 April, 2021.

On 26 April Annagul was admitted to the state clinic Saglyk bilimleri uniwersiteti Stambul Bagçylar egitim we araştyrma. According to healthcare practitioners, she needed to be transferred to an intensive care unit but it was impossible because she did not have medial insurance.

Annagul’s acquaintances contacted the Consulate of Turkmenistan for help hoping that diplomats will assist in transferring the woman to an intensive care unit or another clinic. However, the Consulate officials only promised to inform her family and said there was nothing else they could do.

The 57-year old Annagul Kasymova is a children’s doctor. She moved to Turkey from Balkanabat (formerly Nebit-dag) in 2016 in search of a job.
