The regional tour of the contest of workers of the textile industry took place in the banquet hall “Bagt koshgi” in Mary.
The competition was timed for the upcoming International Women's Day, and was attended by two representatives from each textile enterprise in the Mary velayat.
As part of the competition, weavers demonstrated their embroidery skills, told about ancient and modern ornaments, their origins, and the legends associated with them.
The first place was taken by the winner of the competition, Guncha Reyimov - the mastermind of the Vekilbazar cotton mill.
The second place was awarded to the weaver of the textile complex “Bayramali” Chinar Hallyeva.
The third place was awarded to Guncha Allamyradova - inspector for quality of Mary sewing factory “Yenish”.
The winners of the competition were awarded with valuable prizes, all participants received memorable gifts from the union of trade unions of Turkmenistan, reports Maru-Shahu-Jahan newspaper.
