G. Berdymukhammedov to meet V. Putin on 15 August

According to “Izvestiya”, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov is scheduled to pay a visit to Russia this week.

On 15 August his negotiations with President of Russia Vladimir Putin are scheduled to be held in Sochi.

Providing comment to “Izvestiya”, the Russian President’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov did not rule out the possibility of holding high-level Russian-Turkmen talks in a short term perspective.

Let us recall that Vladimir Putin’s official visit to Turkmenistan was held on 2 October 2017.

On 6 June 2018 the State Duma of the Russian Federation ratified the strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Turkmenistan.
