The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that at the initiative of the Russian side a telephone conversation between the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov was held on 31 August.
The sides reviewed selected issues pertaining to the Russian-Turkmen relations and discussed preparatory works ahead of top and high level bilateral meetings.
Let us recall that on 30 June Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that preparations for the visit of the Russian President to Turkmenistan was underway.
