Monday Trades at Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Cotton Yarn

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday trades registered a deal for the procurement of cotton yarn.

The Emirati company purchased a total of 88 tons of cotton yarn. The total sum of the deal amounted to 2.8 million manats, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

The cotton yarn that was sold through the SCRMET trades was produced at the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the SCRMET amounted to more than $17.775 million.

Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
