President of Turkmenistan held a meeting on the development of regions and agricultural work

Today, the President of Turkmenistan discussed the social and economic development of the regions, seasonal field work with the heads of administrations of the regions and the Vice-Premier for Agricultural and Industrial Complex during a working meeting via digital communications, the State News Agency reports.

After hearing the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of wheat attendance in the regions, which will allow for high yields and ensure food abundance.

Focusing on the implementation of the plan for the cultivation of cotton, which is among the priorities, the Head of state noted the need for strict control over ensuring that the sowing of this crop is completed on time and gave specific instructions in this regard.

The President of the country demanded taking effective measures to obtain high yields of potatoes, onions and other fruit and vegetable crops.

The Head of state also gave a number of instructions related to the preparation for the cocoon harvesting season, the implementation of intended plans, and the timely conclusion of contracts with tenant sericulturists.

In this regard, the Head of Turkmenistan instructed to constantly monitor the construction of facilities that are scheduled to open this year.
