SCRMET Deals Reach $57.8 Million in Second Week April

Export transactions worth $57 million 883 thousand were concluded last week at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET), official media reported Monday.

Business representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased base oil produced by the Türkmennebit state concern for foreign currency. Afghan entrepreneurs also bought ECO-93 motor gasoline produced by the Türkmenhimiýa state concern.

Entrepreneurs from the UAE, Türkiye and Azerbaijan purchased wheat flour, cotton yarn, as well as crude and unrefined fatty acids from cotton soapstock.

Turkmen entrepreneurs acquired polypropylene, base oil and packaging film (Türkmennebit state concern), along with cotton yarn and cotton fabric for the domestic market, totaling 61 million 120 thousand manats.

A total of 32 transactions were registered on the SCRMET during the reporting period.
