SCRMET Records 18 Deals in Last Week of November

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) recorded 18 deals last week, the Turkmen official media reported Monday.

Business groups from the United Arab Emirates and Serbia purchased unprocessed licorice root and rhizomes from enterprises under Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Health and Pharmaceutical Industry.

Local entrepreneurs bought oil coke, polypropylene, petroleum bitumen from the Turkmennebit State Concern, and first-grade wheat flour from the Turkmengallaönümleri State Union for a total of 209.09 million manat. They also purchased locally produced fabrics valued at over $432,000.

Founded in 1994, the SCRMET is the main organization regulating Turkmenistan’s export and import operations.
