Tashkent to Host Meeting of Turkmen-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission

The 16th meeting of Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation will take place in Uzbekistantan’s capital Tashkent on September 13-14, according to the briefing by Vice-Premier Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev, who is in charge of the agricultural issues and at the same time the Co-Chair of the Turkmen-Uzbek commission, during the online cabinet meeting on Friday.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired the cabinet meeting.

The Vice-Premier also briefed on the holding of the Turkmen-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Water Management Issues on the same date, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

Focusing on the importance of the activities of joint intergovernmental commissions, the Head of State emphasized their effectiveness in intensifying cooperation with Uzbekistan.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is expected to soon visit Uzbekistan. Numerous agreements in different spheres will be signed during the visit.
