In Ashgabat on June 8, negotiations were held between the management of the Türkmendemirýollary Agency (“Turkmen Railways”) and representatives of Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting, which specializes in consulting, planning and implementation of infrastructure and mobility projects in Germany and around the world.
According to Orient, during the negotiations the issue of participation of Deutsche Bahn Engineering & Consulting in infrastructure projects and modernization of the transport and logistics system of Turkmenistan, exchange of experience and training of Turkmen specialists was discussed.
After discussing the possibilities of partnership in the development of railways, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Deutsche Bahn Engineering&Consulting GmbH and the Türkmendemirýollary Agency.
The parties expressed hope that the memorandum will give new impetus to Turkmen-German transport and logistics relations and contribute to the achievement of agreements to increase trade turnover and expand cooperation between the two countries, the source notes.
